The Liverpool Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon makes running fun. Each year, more athletes participate in Rock ‘n’ Roll running events than any other running series in the United States. What started as a simple idea in 1998 – a marathon with bands along the course celebrating each participant – soon transformed the running landscape igniting the second running boom.
The UK’s Flattest, Fastest and Friendliest Marathon which will be held on the 10th April 2016. Awarded the official title of UK’s Best Marathon for two years running at the Running Awards, the ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon in Trafford is a marathon not to be missed.
The everydayhero Milton Keynes marathon & half marathon combines tree-lined boulevards with many miles of leafy suburbs in this single lap, traffic free route on closed roads and cycle paths. Now entering it’s 4th year, 2014 saw over 3,000 runners register and has seen over £1.7million pledged to charities over the last three years.
Belfast will host the 2016 event on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May. Over 17,500 runners are expected to hit the streets of North, South, East and West of the City. The route will remain the same as the 2015 event; starting at the City Hall and finishing at Ormeau Park.
The idea of bringing a half marathon to the London Borough of Ealing was first discussed in 2011 by a group of friends and runners training with Ealing Eagles Running Club. The hope was that the event would inspire people in the borough and beyond to take up running as well as inviting runners and their supporters to Ealing for the weekend.
The 3rd ASICS Belfast City Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 20th September 2015, starting at 9am from Ormeau Park and finishing at the same location. Close to 4,000 participants took part in the 2014 Event.
This is the only race that runs in the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, that allows you to celebrate in a music festival after the race where you can celebrate with your family and friends in the heart of Richmond. The day includes Kew Gardens 10K, Visit Richmond Half Marathon & NIKE kids’ mile races, along with Richmond Fitness expo and music festival!
